Fun BUT...

Review by Andrea Fowler, 2010-06-02

Boys love this toy, however, the design and quality are extremely poor. My son is not hard on his toys and does not play rough with them (my daughter has that covered) and still within a short time, the attachment parts where the track is suppose to connect (or snap together) have all broken. In addition the tracks ability to actually stand up on its own is weak - it's quite unstable and is easily knocked over with the slightest bump (or sneeze). We ended up needing to prop it up against a couch or chair to use it. I have considered trying to figure out how to attach the broken pieces and make it more stable, because my son really did enjoy this toy for the short time it worked.

Pretty cool, but not always accurate

Review by William F. Frey, 2010-05-01

My son likes this and the flip tags to show the winner is pretty cool, but it isn't always correct. If the race is close, the #2 position flips quicker than #1 & #3, so I've witnessed #2 show as winner when I clearly saw that #2 was a close 2nd

Over priced!!

Review by Jeff Swartz, 2010-04-02

I couldn't decide between the 4 Lane Raceway and the 3 lane Downhill Raceway. Four cars or three cars, $20 or $50, straight down or hilly down ?? I never got Amazon's "FLASH" demo to work so I went w/the Downhill model as I already can go straight down with basic orange track (just not 3 or 4 in a row). Now that I have the Downhill Raceway in hand, I can't believe how small it is. It looks/feels like a $12.99 toy. The box does NOT come w/a vehicle as indicated in the description. Note: The toy height is 14" tall, so the description wording regarding a 6-foot drop is somewhat misguided. Given the low drop height & hilly decline, the cars won't be going all that fast when they hit the finish. If you elevate the Downhill Raceway by as little as 6", the cars go flying off the slope. This makes it difficult to ever get any speed for any add on track. Note, the built-in add on connectors are only a 1/2" long. Not long enough to secure most add on track for more than a couple races. Over-all the track is wobbly making it easy to (accidentally or not) knock over. Overall, I recommend the 4 Lane Raceway over this model for price and performance.

Lack of packaging by Target = broken toy

Review by G. HETTEL, 2010-02-01

The race track would have been great for my grandson but Target took the toy off the shelf and shipped it in a large plastic bag with absolutely no protective wrapping. It seem to be OK when we received it but when we actually opened it on Christmas day there were little pieces broken inside. Thanks to Amazon we were able to return it prepaid and received a full refund.
Price and convience were excellent.

7 yr old says

Review by Mrs. Wolf, 2009-12-28

He loves this - and Its durable - beacuse its flexible, pops back into place, it folds for storage which is great, also you can add trcks to the end other ones I revwd you couldn't. I wish I would have bought on sale/I got free shipping but price on line - I could have saved $10. I would say age 7 is the high range for this - good for 4-7yr olds!
